Hello, friends of ED@SC! We’re very happy to have some updates for you on the short film that will not die! If you’ve been on our Facebook or Twitter pages, you’ve seen a few images from our location scouting. Pre-production is in full swing and we’ll have news about casting and filming dates in the very near future.
We’re pleased to announce that Richard Trejo is joining Sara Parrell as a producer on the film. Richard is an associate producer on the award winning series, “L.A. Macabre”, and is the host of the Disturbing Talks podcast. On top of all of that, he’s a walking, talking encyclopedia of horror films, so we’re very excited to have him on board.
In “crowd-funding perk” news, for those of you who have been patiently waiting for your ScaryCon t-shirts, we’re just days away from approving the final artwork by Chris Bunag, the talented artist behind the Everybody Dies Horror Film Festival posters. These shirts will feature the same logo that will appear on the t-shirts and banners featured in the actual movie, and they really do look great! We’re also evilly plotting a special new “alternative” perk for those who won passes to the film festival that didn’t happen last year. We’re not ready to spill the beans on what that is just yet, but we think you’re gonna like it!
Thank you all for your continuing support! Was it Soren Kierkegaard or Joe Esposito from the song in “The Karate Kid” who said: “You’re the best…around…nothin’s gonna ever keep you down”? Whoever said it, it’s true. You are the best. Stick around.
